A good friend of mine is a Vet, so I asked her what she thought. We joined together in 2016.

'Vets don't typically deploy with the dog handlers unless they deploy in larger numbers. Over recent years however we have had vets/troop commanders deploying on the larger exercises both in the UK and overseas. Out of everyone who joined in my cohort, probably just under half have been away on a major exercise overseas. There is also other opportunities to travel though, that aren't necessarily deployments.'
