How often will I be able to see my wife if I join the parachute regiment . Preferably 1st battalion

Hi there,
During training you'll not get to see your wife that often but you will get a period of leave and weekends off where you can go home.
Once you've completed training you'll go to either 2 or 3 Para and can apply for Service Family Accommodation (housing) if you so wish, but generally most weekends are free unless on duty.
After you've got a few years experience in 2 or 3 Para you can apply to go to 1 Para.
