honestly, very rarely.
besides the occasional bayonet training and some striking during PT, it isnt something we actively train for.
there maybe be requirement for specific operations or tasks and if that was the case then im should training would be delivered. but if your planing to join and be training into Bruce Lee, its not going to happen im afraid.
you can however training in your own time, or join a army marshal arts team.
ahh i was just wondering because i do taekwondo and was just curious if you did it in training.
i also got another question, say if i wanted to do carpentry but i have my level 2&3 qualifications can i still be able to do carpentry in the army?
yes, you can do joinery within the engineers.
