    Hi.

An average day will depend on which unit you are attached to. For e.g. one of the singers within the Royal Engineers Notts Band, which is based out of Chetwynd Barracks in Nottingham was also a trained all arms store-person. This meant her day to day routine was running and operating the station clothing store as well as being a singer within the band.

The band generally get together multiple times a week, either during standard work time or after working hours. In terms of performances, there were generally a few big events on per year at Chetwynd Barracks alone. However, I know that the Notts band also play all over the UK and the rest of the world on events to which they have been requested.

I hope this helps. I am not currently serving as a musician, but noticed your question had been sat for some time unanswered and have experience with some of my friends who were based in the Notts band.

    Warm Regards,
