How often do officers go out in the field?
Do they go on patrol or anything or do you sit in a command tent thing for the whole time?

Good Morning,
There is no hard and fast rule and it depends on capbadge, but from my experience in the Royal Armoured Corps and Combat Arms, whenever my soldiers were in the field, so was I until i was about 5 years into my career, at which point i started taking up Staff Officer roles, planning etc, which was in a HQ location.
