You don't necessarily 'train' with a Chinook but you may get a chance to go on it depending on your role/what job you're doing at the time, who you are attached to, where you need to go etc etc. Hope this answers your question - if you've got anything more specific i'll try and answer it.
Hi thank you, if you were a CMT attached to 16 medical regiment and so 16 air assault, then do you get more of a chance to operate on chinooks?
Yes, if you were attached to a Para Regt then yes you probably would have more opportunity than if you were attached to say a Royal Artillery Regiment for example. During Phase 2 training you will have a choice to make over postings - you will be given a list and over your time in the army every 2-3 years you would change your unit so there's lots of opportunity if you didn't necessarily get it straight after Phase 2 Training.
