Hi there Cal.
Down time in the RTR can vary depending on what tasks you are on.
In a normal run of the mill week, in camp you can expect to have an 0800-0830 start depending on whether you have PT, most days will end at 1700, however there is some flex in this at the discretion of the Chain of Command. Outside of this, your time is your own as long as you are back to work on time.
Exceptions to this are when you are on exercise where you are working for the duration and this could go over weekends, or when you are on operations which could be for months at a time. There are also times when you might be on duty which is usually a 24 hr thing.
