That is a tough one to answer without surveying the whole Army. However there is sufficient enough interest from Soldiers and desire to provide CPD by the Army that the Army Higher Education Pathway (AHEP) was created.

The AHEP provides opportunities for those who successfully pass out from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to achieve a bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Strategic Studies from the University of Reading’s Henley Business School. If you already hold a degree on joining, the pathway allows you to study for a master’s degree in Leadership and Strategic Studies.

Your degree studies will begin at the same time as your Commissioning Course and will continue throughout your early career as a lieutenant and captain.

Additionally there are opportunities for soldiers to complete in service degrees and convert career courses and experience into civilian qualifications as well as in service apprenticeships.

More information on individual learning and development can be found at https://www.army.mod.uk/army-careers/careers/individual-learning-and-development/

    I hope this helps.
