If your talking about the Armed forces careers office for your Army brief - probably about 90 minutes.
If your talking about the Assessment centre once you are a medical pass - you will travel up the day before the date you have been given. That date will be the actually start date. You will be expected to arrive at lichfield city station by 1600(4pm) if travelling by train. You will spend that night there, complete a full day of testing/activities. Stay that night then depart from AC around lunchtime of the following day.
For example -
Assessment Date - 20th
Travel up on the 19th
Depart on the 21st around lunch time
All travel, food and accommodation is paid for.
