I've been thinking about joining and i'm quite strong but my cardio is lacking. how long should i train my fitness before i decide to apply
Prior prep and planning for any job is always key. The Army fitness standards are made very clear and if you are there or there abouts then don't put off applying. The army is not looking for superman / superwoman and the fitness builds up slowly in training so not to injure individuals. My advice would be to download the Army Fit App which will monitor your fitness and set you goals. The fitter you are, the easier everything is - doing basic training when you are fit is much easier than if you have added stress by not being fit and combined with tiredness it really does become a long slog!
