Hello Emily. Thank you for your question.
I can give you an example of the length of training for Reserves in my job which is Adjutant General's Corps, HR Specialist. This will give you an idea.
Basic Training for Reserves will happen over several weekends with a week-long residential course at the end.
Then you will start Trade Training at Worthy Down Winchester. You will then spend at least 27 days a year working as a HR Specialist, usually one evening a week, one weekend a month and a two-week annual camp.
Reservists also get bonuses for completing training each year and annual pay rises.
For more information about my role in the Reserves, please visit the following URL https://apply.army.mod.uk/roles/adjutant-generals-corps/hr-specialist?role=res
I hope this helps.
