This would probably depend on what the opinion is for and how complex it is. There are regular times when cases are discussed in detail before opinions are given so being able to give a time frame for this answer would be impossible.
This did not bring down my level of nervousness. After the three days assessment experience I do not want to be told you can't make it. I got everything right at assessment but was deferred because of a condition I have since birth which hasn't caused any problems for me well until now I hope it doesn't stop me from joining the army.
A deferral is just another way of saying a further investigation is required depending on what is required will depend on how long the process will take. I had issue when i was joining but all the processes now have changed to make things easier. I waited 6 years before i could join as a result of a deferral but i am serving now as all was resolved.
Answers can take on average about 3 months for any deferral and up to a few years if specialists testing is required. If you have any concerns you need to talk to your careers office to ensure the problem is being chased and follow their guidance as they are the ones following your application start to finish.
ok thank you
