How long do you have to be an artillery officer before you get to have your own fire support team(s)?

    Hi Alex,

    Thank you for your question.

    You will generally serve between 2-3 years before you are selected to command a Fire Support Team. You will serve somewhere as a Junior Officer and Troop Commander first before commanding the team and supporting a combat arm.
