Hi there,
If you join the Army as one of Student Nurse's that we train, then you will complete your Phase 1 training prior to starting your university course. This means that when you graduate from Birmingham City University, you will conduct your Transition to Military Practice Course (one week), after which you will be assigned to a Joint Hospital Group to begin life as an Army Nurse. The TTMP courses are in September and January each year to coincide with graduation and a bit of leave prior to starting.
If you join as an already registered nurse (soldier or officer), you will do your Phase 1 and the TTMP after that - your Phase 1 will be lined up where possible to meet the TTMP but we accept applications all year round.
