How is the daily life in logistics? Is it exciting or routine, especially in port and maritime logistics?

    Hello Mahmoud,

The answer to this question honestly depends on your role and posting within logistics. You only need to look at the Army's social media pages to see the exciting side to life, but in my experience even jobs that lean toward the "routine" side of the scale are rarely boring. Alongside deployments and training there will often be last-minute tasks and opportunities that make no two days the same.

I can't speak for 17 Port and Maritime Regiment RLC because I haven't worked there, but to give an example of an uneventful day as a Private Logistic Specialist (Supply) on camp in a Stores Section could look like:

0800hrs: Physical training - A Physical Training Instructor delivers a strength and conditioning lesson to you and your Squadron.
0930hrs: Processing issues - Your Section 2IC helps you and your team to select and send equipment where it needs to go.
1030hrs: Break - Your team gets together for hot drink and maybe a snack.
    1100hrs: Continue processing issues.
1230hrs: Lunch break - You and your team go to the Junior Ranks Diner (JRD) for lunch.
1330hrs: Stock maintenance - Your Section 2IC gives you a list of storage locations to inspect, making sure that they hold what they're supposed to and are in good condition.
1500hrs: Processing receipts - A delivery arrives and you and your team sort, identify, store, and bring everything onto account.
1630hrs: Parade - Your Troop gathers to discuss anything that needs to be done before finishing work for the day.
1700hrs: Dinner - You and your team go to the JRD for dinner.

Once your day is over you can choose to relax in the Single Living Accommodation, or play sports in the gym, or head out somewhere with a few friends from your team... it's your down-time so it's up to you.

I hope that's helped you gain an insight, if you have any further questions, please feel welcome to ask.
