Hello Nash, thank you for your question.
To answer your question on what it is like to be a regular soldier depends on what role you choose in the Army.
I am HR Specialist in the Adjutant General's Corps and my experience of being a regular soldier will differ compared to someone who is a regular infantry soldier.
In my experience, I really enjoy my job and I'm always kept busy. Although some of my work takes place in an office environment, I am a soldier first so therefore I still get involved with military training such as weapon handling and map reading. The army is a really good stable career and I am hoping to stay in for the whole career.
There are over 200 different roles you can choose from in the Army. To explore the roles, use our role finder https://apply.army.mod.uk/roles
I hope this helps
