Hi Kaycee,
Soldiers and Officers have such a huge pool of opportunities to undertake it's beyond comprehension. That being said for me, travel, sports, personnel development and life experience have been exceptional.
I won't sugar coat it, can it be hard, absolutely! Nothing worth doing is easy. It's been hugely fulfilling and not a single regret for my 16 years served so far.
The average British Soldier gains more life experience in one year then most UK Adults gain in their entire life.
wow 16 years thats amazing im in cadets right now hopeing to get a great job in future time of life what would u sudgest
Honestly, It's really up to you. We are all unique in what we like/dislike. So what i might think is great you might prefer a completely different avenue.
I'd encourage you to utilise the job finder tab on the Army website in a bid to narrow down your options.
In addition to that, once you apply, between the career discussion with your Lead Recruiter and the Assessment centre you'll be able to make the best informed decision for you.
sounds good im only in yr 8 right now but might plan on joining the army is there any downfalls or sugestions i should look out for?
You're asking the questions early which is a good sign for your future.
Downfalls for me is it can be a challenging career to maintain, that being said, I'm committed for the full service and would encourage anyone else that meets the minimum standards to do the same. It's a career that invests in you as an individual and pushes you to seek your full potential.
im trying to make my mum proud for once so im trying shes done the army before and gave me tips but now the war is all modern a bit now the
i dont need them you got any tips for me??
The world is ever changing and what i tell you now maybe different by the time you are of age to enlist.
For comments/opinions on warfare itself now would be inappropriate for me to comment both in this forum and of your age.
You will be taught everything you need to know in basic training so don't worry. This is why we are one of the best Armies in the world.
The only preparation i would suggest is to get a moderate amount of fitness under your belt. If you build up to say 5km running comfortably and throwing around some weights then to build up your physical robustness then this will put you in good stead. The Army fit app will assist you in doing this which is free in the app store.
okay thank you
