Hi Lumbani,
It's worth noting that we haven't been to War in around 10 years so many aren't familiar or aware of the feeling.
For me, first thing i did after my last tour of duty was sleep for 2 days straight. In the days that followed, i was filled with an immense feeling of pride for those that i had saved. The Operations i was involved in and the overall accomplishment that i played a part in. The lives that i had changed for the better as a result of the hard work i was involved in. Worth it every time!
