How do i overcome fears of joining as I've always wanted to but don't want to fail, any advice? :)

Don't worry about failure: it's a great learning tool.
Lots of people apply and fail at various stages in all walks of life, but it's not the failing that matters, it's how you pick yourself up and keep going.
My advice would be to get over your fear and give it a go. Bare minimum: you'll come out the other end a little wiser and with a story to tell.
