Honestly, the only way to know is to apply and try it. You'll have a window of around 5 weeks in basic training to know weather it's for you or not prior to being committed for a minimum period of 4 years. That's long enough to know weather or not you have what it takes to make a good Soldier.
If you like to travel, play sports, earn free qualifications, gain access to heavily subsidized housing, life experience like no other and find the best version of yourself this is absolutely the best thing you can possibly do.
