How do I go about trying to become part of special forces or a behavioural analysis unit

I’ve always had military in the back of my mind but have only been interested in types of snipers, special forces or a type of analysis unit that learns to understand certain movements of dangerous or intelligent individuals

    Hi Jack,

    Thanks for your question.

To be eligible to attempt Special Forces Selection you must have completed 24 months adult service from the date of your enlistment.

Once your application has been accepted you will have to complete The Briefing and Assessment Course (BAC). The course is five days long, based in South Wales. It assesses candidates across three main areas: fitness, navigation and information assimilation. It aims to provide candidates with as much information about Selection as possible, including how best to prepare. A number of question and answer sessions allow candidates to learn more about the UKSF and the individual units within the group.

Those who successfully pass the briefing course will get offered a start date to attend selection.

Hope this helps but if you have any other questions please do come back to me on this thread.

    Katie
