Hello, Thank you for the interesting question!
The recoil of the SA80A2 can be different at first. But after lessons on weapon handling and being on the ranges you will become use to the recoil of the weapon system.
However the recoil is manageable and isn't really that bad even for a Phase 1 Recruit it's more of the adrenaline of firing a weapon system for the first time.
