    Also do the AGC see much combat? Or is it a more administration focussed job?

    We are mainly admin focused but you can be attached to infantry and deploy on operations with them

    Can I ask to be deployed, or is it up to senior ranking officers to decide

    Both. If there is a requirement for you to deploy then you'll most likely go
