Holidays/Annual Leave as a Musician
I understand that holidays are mandated generally around events which usually mean that musicians' holidays are in line with the school holidays, but does this vary between different bands, and are there opportunities to take holidays in term time to benefit from cheaper deals?

Good evening, you are correct, musicians leave is generally around school holiday periods due to the types of events we have commitments for. Although this will of course vary between each band, so events can be covered all year round. Depending on which band you end up in, there may be scope to alter the mandated/ block leave periods in order to better suit you. Likewise some bands may have block leave outside of school holidays, again due to their prior commitments such as Christmas Duties etc.
