Jan,
please apply online, following your application you will be asked to attend your local careers office for a brief on the Army and the joining process where they will answer any questions you may have and help get you ready for the assessment centre. However this being said, you are more than welcome to make your way down to your local careers office any time it is open and the staff will happily assist you with the application.
Either way this wont impact on the time it takes to get through the process, application times vary based on assessment centre performance, medical issues and initial training intake dates.
