Hi, it is very difficult to give an exact answer to this, it all depends where you end up. Some units are busier than others, and therefore end up away more. Whilst some people are even stationed abroad. However you will always be paid extra for being away for longer periods of time, and if stationed abroad there is the option of applying for family housing so you could bring partner/ children with you. Throughout your training you will also be given some weekends off and leave so that you can go home.
