Hi Ryan, Light Cavalry is a fantastic role which offers the opportunity to soldier on vehicles and on foot. As a reconnaissance soldier you will drive a wheeled armoured fighting vehicle and be part of a tight nit crew and team. The Light Dragoons are one of 3 Regiments who carry out this role. As you progress in your career you can become a crew gunner and a commander as you promote through the rank structure.
At phase 2 training you will learn basic signals as it is a key role for reconnaissance soldiers and you have communication equipment on your vehicles. You will also be put through your driving test if you do not have it yet and also your Cat C licence which is rigid truck. This is required to then progress onto driving and operating on Jackal and Coyote platforms, if you google the vehicles you will find lots of pictures and information.
My advice is get your application completed online if not done so already. The application process can take a while and by your question it sounds like you have researched some information already and are hopefully ready to progress forward.
    Thanks.
