Michael C. asked a question to Josh W.
Hi Michael, there are lots of individuals who join later now, some who have had different life experiences, different previous jobs, those who have lost their business etc etc. Advice would be the same to everyone, the fitter you are the better and your life experiences will make you see the Army for what it is - a job role and a good one at that with more flexibility than you get in civi street. Being older you'll be able to help the younger ones and not get too bogged down by the here and now (especially in training (you can see it's means to an end)) and see the end game and hopefully help others training alongside you see that too. Once you're in unit, your age will definitely help as you will have the confidence and experience to just talk to anyone regardless of rank or position. Good luck! Go for it - you only live once and better to have tried and decide it's not for you rather than something you look back on and think, 'i wish i'd gone for it'.
