Hi. Is it possible to transfer from army technician to army musician?

I have an interest in joining the corps of army music but have very very little knowledge when it comes to music theory so can i join the army as a technician and then when i have the proper knowledge in music theory, transfer to the corps of army music?

Transferring job roles, also known as "re-trading" in the Army is possible and happens quite a lot. Lots of people join with an aim to re-trade after a number of years. You'll be expected to meet the eligibility requirements and have a good knowledge of the role you want to transfer to.
