The length of time between applying to join the Army and starting Basic Training varies with each person. Factors that affect how long you wait include, but are not limited to: your medical assessment, intake dates, and role availability.
The number of tours you go on is will depend on what unit you're with and what is happening in the world, there isn't a set number that you will do.
