    Hello,

In the army 'medic' usually means CMT or Combat Medical Technician, but you mention med school, so I presume you mean you would like to join as a doctor?

Doctors usually apply during medical school for a bursary, or during FY1&2 if joining as a direct entrant.

Following completion of FY2 they attend the short commissioning course at RMAS (Sandhurst). After this they undergo further training on the postgraduate medical and nursing officers course. This is followed by a couple of years as a GDMO before applying to specialty training.

I hope that answers your question.
