Hi I have signed up as a TA but was wondering if I'd be better signing up for regular?

    Hi Dan,

May I ask what is making you think about regular vs the reserves and I can then better advise you?

    Hi Dan,

If it is a full time role within the Army you are looking for then the Regular Army is your best bet. Our maximum age for entry into the regular army is 35 years & 6 months so you are still within this. The reserves will offer you a part time role along side a civilian job so you will take part in reserve service with a minimum requirement per year of 27 days a year to receive your annual bounty but most do more than this.

Both the regular and reserve offer REME roles. For example, you can be a Vehicle Mechanic in either and more detail can be found here - https://jobs.army.mod.uk/roles/royal-electrical-and-mechanical-engineers/vehicle-mechanic/.
