Hi, you can apply to join the army at the age of 15yrs 7mths however you can't actually join the army until after GCSEs and you would enter the Army Foundation College Harrogate either in Sept or March as a Junior Soldier. I hope this helps. The joining the army process (inc medical and selection/assessment) can take between 6-18mths so it does take a bit of time. If you are joining as an adult soldier (ie 18yrs+) you can say when you actually want to start basic training (as there is more than just 2 intakes a year unlike The Army Foundation College) however this may have an impact on what Capbadge/trade you can/want to join.
