    Hi there,

Phase 1 Basic Training will vary in length slightly, depending on your age and course.

If you're under 17y 6m, you will attend Army Foundation College Harrogate, completing the junior soldier entry course. The majority of those who attend Harrogate will undertake the 20 week course. There are a few exceptions where you will do a 40 week course.

https://apply.army.mod.uk/what-we-offer/regular-soldier/training/afcharrogate - You can see how long your course is here (scroll down to 'How long is the course?').

If you're over 17y 6m, you will attend Pirbright or Winchester for 14 weeks. This is regardless of course, excluding infantry roles, where your training will take place at ITC Catterick for 28 weeks.

Hope that helps, but the army website will hold all the information you need. Good luck with the application process.
