Isaac N. asked a question to Caitlin B.
Hi Isaac, the best advice I can offer you is to prepare and go for it!
As part of your Army application, you will be invited to attend assessment centre where you will be tested in a number of elements including your fitness. It is a stage that many people dread, despite the pass marks being very achievable. The fitter you are, the easier you will find this but it will also make your time in training a lot easier... so definitely prepare for this. But also, absolutely go for it! I've come across so many people from the general public, in my career, that say they regret never joining the military. There's nothing to lose from doing so, and I am sure you will love your time if it is what you decide to do and are successful in joining.
Okay , Thank you Caitlin.
I have applied, done my medicals, and submitted my Good Conduct Certificate for over a month now. Still haven't received any message or notice on my assessment offer from my recruiter. My portal currently shows meet or chat with your recruiter, but do not have any option to do that to know when to attend my assessment. What should I do.
Hi Isaac, they may still be processing everything you have submitted as this can sometimes take a while. Your best bet is to try and contact the recruiter assigned to you, if you can, or contact your local careers centre and they can point you in the right direction.
Thank you for the quick response. I think i have to wait till the army or recruiter gets intouch. I called the number that was provided as his number but it went to i think the army call centre. So i told the officer my situation and she confirmed my details and also attested to the fact that i was done with my initial stages and that I should be checking my portal for any message from time to time.
Hi Caitlin, I don't know if you can be of help about this. I've completed the cognitive test on my dashboard but it still shows on it. And each time I click on it, it indicates I'm done with it. But its still on my dashboard for over a month now
Hi Isaac, as long as you've completed it then I wouldn't worry too much, we sometimes experience technical difficulties. All the best for the rest of your application journey.
Thank you Caitlin for your response. I'm truly pleased. I heard from the army today.
