Good morning Ben,
The Army Air Corps is the regiment in the Army that deals with aviation, specifically helicopter aviation, however we do not take reservist pilots. All of our pilots are taken from the regular Army at Officer and soldier level. You can`t apply direct as a pilot at soldier level as you are required to be already in the Army and recommended for your first promotion to take aptitude testing, however you can apply directly as a pilot if joining as an officer. Any flying experience you have whilst it may help you on the course does not change the process, you will still have to pass aptitude testing, aircrew medical, flight grading and selection boards regardless.
Hope this helps.
That’s really helpful information, thank you! Sadly too old to apply as a pilot so will consider other roles, thank you for taking the time.
