Ehfran S. asked a question to Greg H.
Hello Ehfran,
All people in the British Army are soldiers first and foremost. We all train as soldiers before we carry out any additional trade training. We are expected to go into combat alongside our combat troops and support them in whatever way needed. As a member of the Royal Military Police I provide in theatre support to our combat troops as a subject matter expert in forensics, crime scene management and detainee handling. This ensures that our deployed troops are conducting themselves in accordance with the International Law of Armed Conflict.
During combat operations, as we are working alongside combat troops, we can often find ourselves in a situation where we are engaged with the enemy forces.
