Hello wondering once in the army do u rank up each year and pay goes up

Thank you for your question.
We are one of the very few occupations where you are guaranteed a pay rise each year. The Army receives a pay rise each year in April, but also you will go up a pay band each year.
Promotion is based on performance, so doesn’t automatically happen every year. However, when you do promote you will receive a significant pay rise.
