Grison M. asked a question to Michael K.
Am from Kenya
Good afternoon Grison,
My experience is ever changing. I started out with very little physical ability, little confidence in my own ability to be a successful Soldier. Of course this helps massively if you already posses these qualities.
Over the years the Army has given me opportunities to turn this around for the better. I'm now capable of running Ultra Marathons and ooze confidence! Academically i used to struggle with the basics whilst at School, the Army has continued to develop me into earning a Masters degree. (Not bad for someone that left School with little to show for it).
With both Logistics and Combat experience from Afghanistan, living over seas in a variety of countries over the years working in tangent with our NATO counterparts. The travel and collaborating with different Nations have been a next level life experience that i will always be thankful for.
Each role within the Army is just the beginning of the opportunities that you could seize with a career in the British Army. We are Soldiers first and trade second. This being said we are so much more based upon the needs of the UK and our Allies.
