Ebenezer C. asked a question to James S.
Ebenezer Christian Applicant
Hmmm..
There are many high points.
The highlight of my career would be completing the Platoon Sgts Battle Course in 2023. As a RAC soldier this cse is not one I have to do. I was the only non-infantry soldier on the cse. It is known throughout the Army as being a gruelling 9 week cse designed to test the physical and mental robustness of seasoned infantry soldiers in the rolling hills of Beacon, Wales. At the end of the cse, I had the respect from the other students as a RAC soldier, a B+ grade and a place in the top third.
The lowest is a harder question. Soldiers have a great ability to turn low points into highs though banter.
That said, the same year, 2023 and 2024, I was having a hard time with my manager. There was a break down in trust and then communication. Looking back mistakes were made (on both sides) and ultimately the path I wanted my career to take fell apart. Would I change it, no. It is what it is.
Thank you for sharing.
What is your general advice for me as I await to be recruited?
What stage are you at?
I am waiting to do medicals.
At the assessment centre? Or have you just submitted your medical docs?
I do really know if it would be by my GP or at the assessment center. However, the next stage to fill on my portal is the medical review. Which I am still waiting for an update.
Okay, I think that's just the Army pulling your med docs from the NHS (or equivalent).
In that case, get as fit as you can and looking into which roles within the Army you would like to do and there requirements.
When you are called to the assessment centre, you will do a fitness test. the results of that will impact the jobs to can have. So train hard and on the day go until you cant anymore.
Thank you
I am striving to be the best.
Perfect, good luck.
I've been anticipating this for over 10 months now. I'm hoping it becomes a reality. Being the Best
