Hi there,
I will try and be as helpful as possible but unfortunately it is completely different on what job role you are applying for. Different regiments have different day to day tasks/timings and that will be spread across the whole of the British Army. For myself, I am a Dog Handler so that will be completely different to someone who is in Engineering or a Chef for instance.
It may be easier to narrow down exactly what cap badge/job role you are interested in joining and direct your question to someone from there!
Hope this helped
The Army broadly follows the same rotation.
Regiments will go though a period of development. Training personal so that the regiment is ready to go.
That regiment will then start a training year. It will form a battle group and have loads of other capabilities from across the army to ensure the group could perform its role in battle. this will see the BG under take collective training and after a few weeks of testing in the field, it will be validated (deemed ready to fight).
Once that BG is good to go. It will be sent on OPs or put on NATO readiness or any other task the Army needs to do. This will most likely include more training.
after that, it all starts again. The cycle is about 3 years.
In terms of advise,
have a look at a job role that peeks your interest. Dont limit yourself to your local regiment. Take the opportunity to post somewhere away from home.
