Good afternoon,
As a member of the Armoured Corps i cant give specific REME related guidance however in the absence of someone else answering this yet, my advice would be to reach out to former colleagues of yours who are still serving to speak to the RCMO who would know exactly what is required by the corps and the regiment. They would also be able to assist you in rejoining including understanding what training you would need to do to become current again.
Not bespoke advice but hopefully it helps.
