Haircuts and dental issues

I'm currently looking into applying but I have a couple questions. Right now I have long hair coming down to the middle of my chest, what would the regulations be on hair or is it job specific? And I've had a lot of issues with my teeth, with them rotting and dying. Is this something that would affect joining?

    Hi there,

On hair, for women hair can be work in a variety of ways as long as it does not extend below the belt. For men it remains short but long hair can be permitted for religious reasons. The article here gives you a little more detail - https://www.army.mod.uk/news-and-events/news/2021/08/new-changes-for-dress-and-personal-appearance-policy/.

With regards to teeth, our medical team will be able to review your documents when you submit an application and then give you a definitive answer that is specific to your medical history. It is hard to say therefore what effect it might have but we will be able to let you know as part of the process. Hope this helps!
