Had thoughts of self harm at 16 and never acted out on the thoughts, I’m 18 now will this cause any issues for me?

When I was 16 I had thoughts of self harm and as soon as I realised what I was thinking I went to my colleges lifeline and got the help I need I never acted out on these thoughts and was never put on any medication I’m 18 now and I’m wanting to join will this cause any issues for me.

    Seeking help was definitely the right thing to do. As nothing was acted on this will improve you chances of a successful application. If it was recorded then the medical team will look at all of you medical records in detail and make the final decision. If it was just the colleges helpline and there is no record of it on your medical records then this may not be an issue. As mentioned all medical details will be looked at by our medical team who will make the final decision and advise you what is required as further information if needed.
