I am interested in joining the British Army as a south African .My brother in law is currently serving in the infantry I see the recruitment of common wealth is opening again from the 19/08/2024 for a short time. I would like to know what all do I need to apply and how must I go about it?

Hi Nathan,
Thanks for your question. You are correct about the commonwealth jobs re-opening on the 19th Aug 24 for a short period however, they will only be open for limited job roles. For e.g. Musician, Paratrooper.
You will also need a sponsor which I assume that your brother in law may be able to help with as he is already serving.

Do I need to book flights and Visa from South Africa before I apply? -
