I sent an appeal letter off and its been almost thirty days with no response.
The response time will vary depending on severity and situation for example if it wasn't safe to evacuate it could be delayed until such time when it is safe to do so. However there is always the aim to be able to get into hospital care within the hour which are the guidelines we work on, as i said the situation can sometimes make the evacuation last for days.
Also if you put in for an appeal letter and you still haven't had a response it'll be worth chasing them up to check on its progress, if it is an official complaint then it should be responded to within 28 days this may be working days so check that first.
