I am a British citizen and hold a British passport, I moved to England for university in 2019 and have been here ever since but was previously living in Spain with my parents. I am mainly residing in the UK but during covid I returned to Spain for lockdown which exceeds the 28 period given in the question. How should I go about this question for the continuous 5 years in the uk? Any information would be much appreciated.
Hi Charlie,
If you are a British citizen then the continuous five years is not of relevance to you - this is for our commonwealth applicants and you are perfectly eligible. When applying be honest about where you have lived for security clearance purposes but being a British Citizen is the key one which you are.
