During regiment selection at RMAS, are POs allowed to put down a Corps or Role Name instead of a Regiment?

I have a ranked list of 9 regiments/corps I am interested in joining. During regiment selection, are you allowed to put down the name of a corps or role description ("Royal Military Police"/"Working Dog Handler")? Also, is your list limited to your top two choices, or can you list more than two?

Hey there, thanks for your question. To answer the first part, no, you don't specify the role within the cap badge you select. For example, you may select the engineers, but you cannot specify you want to work bomb disposal. This part of the process happens after commissioning and depends on availability, qualifications and aptitude.

To answer the second part, you can only make two cap badge selections unless one of your selections contains a test in order to qualify for the Regimental Selection Board (the job interview that allows you to apply for a place). Examples include Army Air Corps pilot or the Intelligence Corps.

    Hope that helps!
