Hello Gemma, what interested you about becoming a driver? Now that your in, whats one of your favourite parts about it?
What driving qualifications do you get with the Army?
Hi Luca, i have all my licences apart from motorbike
I am also a driving intructor in the Army
The variety of postings as a Driver interested me to join the Royal Logistic corps.
Ive been in the Army over 17 years now
What's the best thing about being a driver in the army?
Hi Connor, getting to travel around different countries.
I love teaching soldiers how to drive different vehicles
I like the different the roles I can do. Never done the same job twice.
I love off-road driving and all the various different sized vehicles and plant that have had the opportunity to drive!
Thank you. Whats your advice to anyone wishing to join as a driver?
Always give 100%, learn new stuff everyday. Gaining the driving licences is free, the Army invests a lot into you. You gain civilian qualifications along the way. Enjoy it, I have in my 17 years served.
Great thank you!
No probs, best of luck. :-)
What else is covered in the trade training? - licenses, and maintenance
