The Army has lots of sky diving teams. My husband was in the RLC silver stars for many years. You can train at Netheravon or other places in the UK. There are so many opportunities and great sports teams, and adventurous training trips for those keen to go.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your question.

The Army Parachute Association is based at Netheravon in Wiltshire and runs as a club. At the same site is the Joint Service Parachute Wing running adventurous training courses for soldiers and officers. The Armed Forces Parachute Championships are held at Netheravon each summer, and most Regiments and Corps send a team to compete. Some Regiments and Corps also have teams that carry out displays.

    There are loads of opportunities.

Yes there is a free fall team and there is plenty of opportunity to fall from various different countries and complete courses. If that is what you are interested in then the army will support you going on to potentially become a gall instructor.
